Murad'ın Türküsü(1965)

Murad's Song is a Turkish drama about two young lovers caught between class and tradition. Murat, a poor hunter from the village, and Meliha, daughter of a wealthy landlord, face fierce opposition from Zülfikar Ağa, who refuses to accept their relationship. While the villagers rally behind the couple and attempt to sway the landlord, his pride and determination to maintain social boundaries prove unyielding. As he exhausts every tactic to keep them apart, the conflict deepens between duty to family honor and the couple's desire to be together.
