What's a Bear For?(2011)

What's a Bear For? is an ecological comedy about two estranged Asturian brothers reunited by environmental crisis. Alejandro, a reclusive zoologist, has abandoned civilization to live among wildlife in the forest. Guillermo, an internationally celebrated biologist, returns home after discovering a mysterious green sprout in Antarctica that convinces him humanity's battle against ecological collapse is already lost. When Guillermo tracks down his brother in the woods, their reunion disrupts the delicate emotional and natural balance they've each constructed. The film explores how two men shaped by childhood wonder at nature must confront their divergent paths—one choosing retreat into the wild, the other seeking redemption through reconnection. Their collision forces both brothers to reconsider what they've sacrificed and what might still be saved.
