Sonja(1978)

Sonja is a 1971 South African romantic drama about a marriage tested by impossible choices. Chris is desperate to father a child to continue the De La Rey family legacy, but circumstances make this impossible. His wife Sonja takes matters into her own hands, becoming pregnant by their friend Martin. When Sonja's best friend Nicolette—a paraplegic woman secretly in love with Chris—discovers the deception, she blackmails Sonja with a cruel ultimatum: divorce Chris or face exposure.
