The album features one new recording: a cover of The The's "This Is the Day," released as a single that September. National Treasures captures the band's evolution from their incendiary 1990s debut through their continued artistic ambition, showcasing why they remain one of Britain's most important rock acts. The collection reached number 10 on the UK Album Chart in November 2011.
