Missing Yoon(2022)

Missing Yoon is a South Korean film about a struggling YouTuber who exploits a missing person case for views. Jang Hada, desperate to revive her flagging channel, spots an opportunity when legendary singer Yoon Sinae vanishes. She convinces her mother Yeon Sinae, an impersonator of the missing star, to become her live-streaming subject, and the gambit pays off—her subscribers flood in with engagement. But Yeon Sinae has her own agenda. Devastated after losing a crucial performance opportunity, she teams up with fellow impersonator Woon Sinae to search for the real Yoon Sinae. Hada, undeterred, secretly documents their journey for her channel, turning their quest into content. The film explores how ambition and desperation can blur ethical lines in the age of social media.
