Kromov(2009)

Kromov is a thriller following Alexey, a disgraced former Russian army colonel stranded in Paris with a fortune in government funds. Trapped between powerful forces who want the money back, Kromov must navigate the dangerous underworld of exile while protecting his unexpected windfall. As various factions close in—each with their own claim to the cash—he's forced to rely on cunning and whatever connections remain from his military past. The film explores themes of survival, loyalty, and the moral compromises required to stay alive when you're holding something everyone else wants to take. Caught between the Russian state and criminal interests, Kromov's only advantage is his training and his willingness to do whatever it takes to keep what he has.
