Habitat is a dystopian film about a man trapped in a sparse room, enslaved by technology and consumer culture. Addicted to his computer and an endless reality show, he becomes obsessed with a paradise glimpsed in a television commercial—a dream he believes he can reach with a single gesture. The film explores themes of isolation, digital dependency, and the manufactured desires that keep us tethered to screens. As his grip on reality blurs, the boundary between the virtual world he inhabits and the physical world beyond his walls dissolves. A darkly satirical meditation on modern life, Habitat questions what happens when fantasy becomes more real than existence itself.
