Memory's Technique(2020)

Memory's Technique is a Japanese drama following Karen, a Tokyo high school student whose life shifts when she discovers her family register during passport processing. She learns she's adopted and had an older sister, Yukari, who died at age four. Haunted by fragmented childhood memories she can't explain, Karen becomes determined to uncover her true identity. She deceives her parents about a school trip and travels to Fukuoka, her birthplace, accompanied by her classmate Satoi Hogari. As the two search for answers about Karen's past, they unearth secrets that challenge everything she believed about her family and herself.
