Chicken Phoenix(2022)

Chicken Phoenix follows childhood friends Sota and Rakuto as they embark on a quest to find a mythical Phoenix that shouldn't exist. Now adults carrying unspoken burdens, the pair seek refuge in their aimless travels, hoping to escape the shadows that have darkened their lives. Along the way, they encounter an eccentric cast: a mysterious bride, spirits tending a youkai snack bar in the underworld, gang members from an SM Castle, an agricultural rapper, a wandering monk preaching enlightenment, and a solitary movie theater operator. Each stranger they meet offers cryptic glimpses into life's hidden truths. As their journey unfolds, Sota and Rakuto must confront what the Phoenix truly represents—and whether they're really searching for a legendary bird or something far more personal.
