Convenience Story(2022)

Convenience Story follows Kato, a struggling scriptwriter trapped in creative limbo. His pitches go nowhere, and despair has become his constant companion. One errand to buy dog food for his girlfriend's pet leads him to Ideal Mart, a peculiar convenience store that seems to stock far more than ordinary goods. There he meets Keiko, a enigmatic married woman whose presence reignites his artistic spark. What begins as a chance encounter becomes something far more complicated, blurring the lines between inspiration and obsession. This Japanese film explores how desire and creativity intertwine, and what happens when a desperate artist finds unexpected muse in forbidden territory.
