Benny(2021)

Benny is a psychological drama about parenthood and isolation. Anna and Christian retreat to a remote cottage in the woods hoping the countryside air will help their three-year-old son Benny's asthma. Instead, Anna finds herself spiraling into emotional isolation as she grapples with the weight of motherhood. Cut off from the outside world, she confronts uncomfortable truths about her role as a parent and the sacrifices it demands. The film explores how caregiving can become suffocating, turning a sanctuary into a prison. As tension builds within the family unit, Anna's mental state deteriorates, forcing her to reckon with what she's willing to endure for her child's wellbeing.
