Cairo 30(1966)

Cairo 30 is an Egyptian drama following Mahgoub, a villager seeking opportunity in the capital. When his friend Salem secures him both employment at the ministry and a bride, Mahgoub discovers his new wife harbors a dangerous secret: she is the mistress of the powerful Qasem Bek, who visits her weekly. Caught between gratitude to Salem and the impossible situation his marriage has created, Mahgoub must navigate the competing loyalties and social pressures that threaten to unravel his carefully constructed new life.
