Fufu is a poetic portrait of a first-generation immigrant daughter reconstructing her mother's life through the preparation of a childhood meal. As she labors over the traditional dish, the daughter becomes a vessel for memory and cultural inheritance, grappling with the weight of tradition against her own conflicts and identity. The film traces the emotional terrain of immigration—the struggle to settle, build home, and honor the past while forging a new path.
