Graven(2019)

Graven is a film about obsession and mystery. A man makes repeated pilgrimages to the beach, where he digs deeper and deeper into the sand with single-minded purpose. Dressed in his red hat and faded tank top, he works with quiet devotion while curious onlookers watch and wonder. As the hole grows larger, questions mount: What compels him? What is he searching for? When—if ever—will he stop? The film explores the inexplicable drives that consume us, presenting a meditation on human behavior that is both unsettling and strangely compelling.
