Marcus is a documentary that traces the life and career of legendary bass player Marcus Miller through New York's jazz scene. Director Patrick Savey follows Miller's formative years and his encounters with jazz icons including Larry Graham, Jaco Pastorius, David Sanborn, Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, and Miles Davis. The film weaves together archival footage and performances to chronicle Miller's evolution as a musician and his influence on contemporary jazz and funk.
