Mohra(1994)

Mohra is a 1994 Hindi thriller about journalist Roma Singh, daughter of a jailer, who meets inmate Vishal Agnihotri after he intervenes when she's assaulted during a prison tour. Intrigued by his four murder convictions, Roma investigates and discovers Vishal killed in revenge after courts failed to punish those who attacked his sister and sweetheart. When Vishal is released and hired by Roma's publisher Jindal, he gradually realizes his freedom is illusory—he's traded one prison for another as a darker truth emerges. The film explores themes of justice, corruption, and manipulation within a gripping crime narrative that questions whether the legal system truly serves the innocent.
