Safe Men is a comedy about two struggling singers mistaken for expert safe crackers in Providence, Rhode Island. When local gangsters force them into a heist, the impostors scramble to keep up their cover while navigating the criminal underworld's dangerous hierarchy. Complications mount as they clash with actual professionals and attract the attention of a mobster's daughter—who refuses to date known criminals. The film plays the absurd premise for laughs as the duo's incompetence and desperation collide with real danger, creating a tangle of mistaken identities and double-crosses. Caught between their con and the genuine crooks around them, the singers must improvise their way out before their lack of actual skills gets them killed.
