Spacer(1972)

Spacer is a Polish aviation drama following Captain Drawski as he pilots a damaged plane toward a repair facility in Bydgoszcz. When a young mechanic named Marcin Mercik is smuggled aboard against protocol, a critical malfunction forces both men to confront an impossible choice. Mercik, paralyzed by fear and inexperienced in emergency procedures, must overcome his terror as the fuel-starved aircraft spirals toward disaster. The film captures the tension between duty and survival as two men with vastly different skills and nerve face a life-or-death crisis at altitude. Spacer combines technical realism with psychological drama, exploring how ordinary people respond when everything goes wrong in the unforgiving environment of the sky.
