Sycamore(2018)

Sycamore follows Anna, a headstrong Italian American woman who arrives in Italy determined to reinvent herself and escape her past. Drunk on romantic notions of her heritage, she chases an idealized version of the country she's always dreamed about. As Anna settles into her new life, reality begins to clash with fantasy. The Italy she discovers—with all its messy complexity—isn't quite the place she imagined. Caught between who she was and who she wants to become, Anna must confront whether her fresh start can deliver the transformation she's seeking, or if she's simply running from herself.
