Thin Skin(2025)
Thin Skin follows Luisa, a writer adapting Sarah Kane's provocative play "4.48 Psychosis," as she retreats to a desert beach with her family. Immersed in the text's raw psychological intensity, the boundaries between the script and her own reality begin to blur. Luisa's grip on sanity fractures as the play's dark impulses seep into her daily life, blurring adaptation with delirium. Director Arthur Lins weaves together theater, archival footage, sketches, and fragmented family memories to create an experimental meditation on artistic creation and mental fragility. The film becomes a layered exploration of how deeply a writer can be consumed by their work, set against a tropical landscape that contrasts sharply with the protagonist's inner turmoil.
