The Wolf(2020)
The Wolf is a historical drama set during the twilight of the Tang Dynasty. A boy rescued from a cliff by the warlord Zhu Wen is adopted into his household and renamed Zhu Youwen. Ten years later, now titled Prince of Bo, Zhu Youwen encounters Zhaixing, daughter of a provincial governor, and the two fall in love. Despite his privileged position, Zhaixing recognizes his integrity and compassion. Their romance becomes entangled with the brutal machinations of court politics as power struggles threaten to tear them apart. The series explores loyalty, ambition, and moral conviction against a backdrop of dynastic collapse and civil strife, following two people caught between personal devotion and the demands of empire.
