Liar's Club(1969)

Liar's Club is an American comedy game show that aired in multiple syndicated runs beginning in 1969. The original series, hosted by Rod Serling, returned for three seasons from 1976 to 1979 after a local Los Angeles run. Allen Ludden took over hosting duties, with Bill Armstrong and other announcers supporting the format. The show was revived briefly as The New Liar's Club from 1988 to 1989, hosted by Eric Boardman and produced in Vancouver. A 1996 pilot with Ed McMahon failed to generate a new series. The game show's title playfully references the Friars Club, and the format became a fixture of American television comedy across three decades.
