Wounded Birds is a 2019 Turkish drama about two orphaned siblings, Meryem and Ömer, whose fragile life together fractures when their abusive father is released from prison. He manipulates Ömer into committing crimes, forcing Meryem to flee to Istanbul with her brother. There she meets Levent, a man haunted by his own devastating loss. As the siblings struggle to survive and escape their father's grip, Meryem and Levent's connection deepens into an unlikely romance.
