Skin(2003)

Skin is a television drama that aired on Fox in 2003, offering a modern take on Romeo and Juliet. The series follows Adam, son of the Los Angeles District Attorney, and Jewel, daughter of a pornographer, as they navigate a forbidden romance across deeply divided worlds. Their families exist on opposite sides of the moral and legal spectrum, creating intense conflict and tension throughout the narrative. Despite heavy promotion, Skin was cancelled after just three episodes due to low ratings and poor critical reception. The show was later revived in 2005 when SOAPnet acquired the rights to all eight episodes, finally airing the five remaining installments that audiences had never seen.
