Kodiak(1974)

Kodiak is a short-lived adventure series that aired on ABC during the 1974–1975 season, following Cal "Kodiak" McKay, an Alaska State Trooper who patrols the remote Alaskan wilderness in his four-wheel drive truck. Accompanied by his sidekick Abraham Lincoln Imhook, Kodiak tracks down dangerous criminals across 50,000 miles of backcountry terrain. The half-hour episodes aired Friday evenings but struggled against NBC's powerhouse competition, Sanford and Son. Despite airing only four episodes before cancellation, Kodiak remains a curiosity of 1970s television adventure programming, filmed on location in Bend, Oregon.
