Moments of Endearment(1998)

Moments of Endearment follows WAI, an overprotective insurance agent grieving his late wife, as he meddles in his daughter YEE's romantic life. When YEE falls for WAI's work partner CHUNG and they marry, WAI's interference threatens their relationship. Meanwhile, WAI develops feelings for his boss NAM, complicating his own heart. As YEE and CHUNG drift toward divorce, WAI and their circle of friends rally to save the marriage. Through their struggles, WAI confronts the consequences of his controlling behavior and learns painful lessons about love, loss, and letting go. The series explores how grief can poison family bonds and how redemption requires acknowledging our mistakes.
