Lab Rats(2008)

Lab Rats is a 2008 BBC sitcom set inside a university science laboratory. Co-written by and starring Chris Addison, the series follows the chaotic dynamics of lab life with a deliberately cartoonish edge. Produced by Simon Nicholls and directed by Adam Addison, the show was helmed by executive producer Armando Iannucci, known for his work with Addison on The Thick of It. Recorded in front of a live audience in traditional sitcom style, Lab Rats embraces absurdist humour and surreal elements—including, memorably, giant snails. Though a pilot was developed in 2006, the series proper debuted with six episodes in 2008 and was not renewed for a second season.
