Key West is a 1993 comedy-drama series that aired for thirteen episodes on Fox. Factory worker Seamus O'Neill wins the lottery and abandons his New Jersey life to pursue writing in Key West, following in the footsteps of his literary hero Hemingway. He lands a job as a reporter at the local newspaper, The Meteor, and quickly discovers the island is populated by colorful characters. Fisher Stevens leads an ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Tilly as a high-class prostitute, Denise Crosby as the conservative mayor, and Brian Thompson as the eccentric sheriff. Created by David Beaird and Allan Marcil, the series blends humor with drama as Seamus navigates small-town island life while chasing his writing dreams.
