Gintama: The Semi-Final(2021)

Gintama: The Semi-Final is an anime film that picks up as Edo recovers from war. Gintoki reunites with an oblivious Shinpachi, but a sudden clash with the Tenshouin Naraku forces him into an absurd disguise—a loincloth—to hide his identity. Back at the Yorozuya office, an unexpected visitor awaits. Meanwhile, Kondou launches into an interplanetary diplomatic mission to marry Princess Bubbles of the Gorilla Amanto, only to discover he can't speak their language. His fumbling attempts at communication somehow win them over, but chaos erupts when someone connected to the princess crashes the wedding ceremony. The film balances Gintoki's mysterious return with Kondou's increasingly ridiculous space adventure, blending action, comedy, and absurdist humor as the series barrels toward its climax.
