Love You as the World Ends is a Japanese drama series following Hibiki Mamiya, a 26-year-old car mechanic, and his high school sweetheart Kurumi Ogasawara. Content in their quiet life together, Hibiki secretly plans to propose. Then a tunnel collapse traps him underground for four days. When he emerges, the world has vanished. No people roam the streets, communication is dead, and only an emergency evacuation broadcast crackles on the radio. Bloodstains mark every corner of town. Hibiki must navigate this apocalyptic nightmare to find Kurumi and uncover what catastrophe has befallen their world.
