Second Shot(2013)

Second Shot is a comedy series about Katherine "Kat" McDonald, a professional soccer player who returns to her small Ohio hometown after learning her mentor Dot has died. Kat attends the wake expecting to pay her respects and leave, but discovers she's inherited Dot's Hole, the only gay bar in three counties. Suddenly saddled with an unexpected business and reconnected to the community she once fled, Kat must navigate small-town life, her past, and the bar's loyal patrons. The series explores themes of homecoming, identity, and found family as Kat grapples with her new role as bar owner and what it means to belong somewhere she thought she'd outgrown.
