Nemesis(2021)

Nemesis is a Japanese detective series following Kazama Naoki, a brilliant investigator at a private firm in Yokohama, and his sharp-witted assistant Mikami Anna. Though Kazama takes the spotlight, Anna is the true detective driving their partnership. Together they pursue leads on Anna's missing father Hajime, a scientist who vanished without explanation, aided by their boss Kurita Kazuaki, Hajime's longtime friend. As they unravel increasingly complex cases, each investigation yields cryptic clues pointing toward her father's disappearance. Their search eventually traces back to a dark incident from twenty years prior—one that holds the key to the mystery. What Anna doesn't yet know is that both Kazama and Kurita harbor hidden connections to that buried past, complicating everything she believes about the people closest to her.
