Guru(2021)

Guru is a Danish comedy-drama following life coach Andreas Mertz as he returns to his hometown of Silkeborg with a mission to inspire its residents to take control of their lives. Armed with his intense coaching program "Go by Yourself" and a newly published book called "The Silkeborg Road," the self-proclaimed super coach sets out to transform the town—particularly his childhood friend Ralph. As Andreas pursues his ambitious vision, the series explores the clash between his outsized ambitions and the reality of small-town life, blending humor with genuine character development. The show examines themes of reinvention, friendship, and whether one person's determination can truly change a community.
