1, rue Sésame(1978)

1, rue Sésame is a French children's series adapted from the American hit Sesame Street. Airing from 1978 to 1982 on TF1, the show brought educational entertainment to young French viewers through music, puppets, and interactive lessons. With composer Jean Morlier and musical director Roger Elcourt shaping its sound, the series ran for 82 episodes before ending production in June 1982. The program was executive produced by Michel Berthier of TF1 and Lutrelle Horne of Children's Television Workshop. Though short-lived, 1, rue Sésame (also known as Bonjour Sésame or la Rue Sésame) paved the way for a successor: 5, Rue Sésame, which launched in 2005 under Sesame Workshop.
