Tokyo Friends(2005)

Tokyo Friends is a Japanese drama series that premiered June 3, 2005, exclusively on DVD rather than broadcast television. The five-episode series spans roughly 70 minutes per episode, with volumes one and two containing four episodes and volume three the finale. A premium box set was also released, bundling all episodes with bonus content and postcards. Though Tokyo Friends follows a conventional Tokyo-set narrative, it gained considerable attention as the acting debut of singer Ai Otsuka, whose involvement drove its success despite its limited theatrical release.
