Barrera de amor is a Mexican telenovela that aired on Canal de las Estrellas from October 2005 to May 2006. The series stars Yadhira Carrillo and Sergio Reynoso in a story of love tested by family cruelty and revenge. Maite Galván falls for Luis Antonio Romero, a widowed veterinarian, but the powerful and ruthless Valladolid family conspires to tear them apart through lies and manipulation. As betrayal mounts, Maite fights to protect those she loves and break through the barriers keeping her from happiness. Produced by legendary Televisa producer Ernesto Alonso in his final project, the drama explores how far one woman will go to defend her heart against injustice and family vengeance.
