Aly & AJ: Sister Act(2007)

Aly & AJ: Sister Act is an MTV special that pulls back the curtain on the lives of pop-rock sisters Aly and AJ Michalka. Premiering in August 2007 as part of a My Super Sweet 16 marathon, the special captures behind-the-scenes moments including the sisters obtaining their driver's licenses, buying their first cars, and writing songs for their third album, Insomniatic. The program also features segments introducing the MTV film Super Sweet 16: The Movie, in which both sisters appeared. Hosted by Aly and AJ themselves, the special showcases their commentary on favorite episodes from the series. Though produced as a pilot for a potential ongoing series, scheduling conflicts prevented further development. The special offers fans an intimate look at the Michalkas' creative process and personal milestones during a pivotal moment in their music careers.
