Cry Me A River of Stars(2021)

Cry Me A River of Stars is a Chinese drama centered on two people with hidden agendas. Tao Junran, a newly appointed magistrate, seeks access to A Fan's painting boat to investigate an unsolved case from the past. A Fan, the boat's owner, hopes to gain the magistrate's favor for her own purposes. As they draw closer under false pretenses, neither realizes they're being drawn into something deeper. The series explores themes of deception, duty, and unexpected connection as their separate investigations and ambitions begin to intertwine, forcing both to confront what they truly want.
