Real Story was a British current affairs series that aired on BBC One on Monday evenings at 19:30 GMT. Hosted by Fiona Bruce, the programme examined the week's major stories—from health crises to political developments—often featuring interviews with those directly affected by the issues under scrutiny. The show occupied similar territory to ITV1's Tonight With Trevor McDonald, blending accessible journalism with BBC editorial standards. Launched in March 2003, Real Story ran for over three years before the BBC discontinued it in November 2006 to make room for The One Show.
