Cold Nights(2009)

Cold Nights is a Chinese historical drama following Wang Wen Xuan, an idealistic young man caught between personal desire and filial duty during a turbulent period in his nation's history. He loves his classmate Zeng Shu Sheng, but his traditional mother insists he marry a woman of her choosing.
