Fish Police(1992)

Fish Police is an animated series based on Steve Moncuse's comic book about crime and corruption in an underwater metropolis. Inspector Gill, a determined detective, navigates a murky world of organized crime while resisting the charms of the alluring Angel Jones. The cast consists entirely of marine species, and the tone draws heavily from classic film noir—cynical, shadowy, and darkly comedic. The original comic ran from 1985 to 1991 and featured early work by acclaimed inker Sam Kieth. The series captures the pulpy atmosphere of hardboiled detective stories, transplanted into an absurdist aquatic setting where mobsters, femmes fatales, and crooked cops all swim in the same dangerous waters.
