Engine is a Japanese series following Jiro Kanzaki, an elite F3000 test driver renowned for his fearless technique and extraordinary sensitivity behind the wheel. When unexpected circumstances force him to leave his racing team, Jiro returns to Japan for the first time in years and moves back with his parents while seeking his next opportunity. What he finds is a household far removed from the glamour of professional racing: his stern father, a critical sister, twelve foster children, and the eccentric staff of the foster home his father runs, including a snobbish male nurse and a daydreaming female nurse. As Jiro navigates this chaotic domestic life, the series explores how a world-class racer adapts to ordinary family dynamics and discovers what truly matters beyond the racetrack.
