Footballers is a Swiss comedy series following four ambitious players desperate to join a newly formed fifth-division team. Despite their determination, none of them can secure a spot in the starting eleven, and they're forced to confront an uncomfortable truth: their bench-warmer status stems largely from circumstances beyond their control. Determined to change their fate, the four reservists scheme and strategize to earn playing time in the season's opening match against local rivals FC Varen.
