Trom is a six-part Faroese crime series centered on journalist Hannis Martinsson, who returns to his remote homeland after receiving a desperate message from Sonja, a young woman claiming to be his daughter. When he arrives, he discovers her body in the waters of a traditional whale hunt, setting off a dark investigation into the close-knit community's hidden secrets. As Hannis digs deeper, he clashes with local detective chief inspector Karla Mohr, each pursuing their own version of the truth. The series explores how far a man will go to uncover answers in a place where everyone has something to hide, blending noir atmosphere with the stark beauty and isolation of the Faroe Islands.
