New Heart(2007)

New Heart is a South Korean medical drama following two cardiac surgery residents with contrasting backgrounds. Lee Eun Seung, an orphan from a small-town medical school, dreams of becoming an exceptional cardiac specialist despite his limited technical skills. Nam Hye Suk graduated top of her class from an elite institution but struggles with rigidity and interpersonal flexibility. Under the scrutiny of their demanding new department head, Dr. Choi Kang Gook, the two residents must prove themselves in one of medicine's most challenging fields. As they navigate complex surgeries and hospital politics, mutual respect develops between them, and Eun Seung finds himself drawn to Hye Suk. Complications arise when a famous actor with a romantic history with Hye Suk is admitted as a patient, threatening the fragile connection forming between the residents.
