The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour(1957)

The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour is a series of thirteen one-hour specials that aired sporadically between 1957 and 1960, continuing the legacy of I Love Lucy with the same beloved cast. Rather than commit to a grueling weekly schedule, the show offered occasional prime-time entertainment, allowing the stars breathing room between productions. Desilu Studios produced the series, filming mostly in Los Angeles with occasional location shoots in Lake Arrowhead, Las Vegas, and Sun Valley, Idaho. The show aired under various sponsor titles during its original run—first as The Ford Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show, then as The Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse Presents The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show. CBS brought the series back for summer reruns from 1962 to 1967 under the Lucy-Desi title before it entered syndication, cementing its place in television history.
