Lipshitz Saves the World(2007)

Lipshitz Saves the World is a comedy pilot that NBC greenlit in 2006 but ultimately rejected before airing. The series follows teenage outcast Adam Lipshitz, who discovers he may be the only person capable of saving the world. Creator Dan Fogelman pitched the show as The Matrix reimagined without the leading man's charisma—a self-aware comedy premise that blended sci-fi stakes with awkward adolescent humor. Leslie Nielsen signed on to play Lipshitz's mentor, bringing veteran comedic gravitas to the concept.
