Four on the Floor is a Canadian sketch comedy series that premiered on CBC Television in 1986, showcasing The Frantics—a four-member comedy troupe featuring Paul Chato, Rick Green, Dan Redican, and Peter Wildman. Though only 13 episodes aired before budget cuts ended the run, the show became a formative influence on Canadian sketch comedy, paving the way for later hits like The Kids in the Hall and the Red Green Show. The series also found an audience in the U.K., airing on Channel 4's Friday night comedy slot from June to September 1988. Each episode opened with alternating narration from Dan and Rick, layered with video clips and sound effects that set the tone for the sketches to follow.
