Being a Hero is a crime drama following former officer Wu Zhenfeng, who vanishes after his father's murder by a drug cartel and resurfaces five years later as the notorious "Addict Lord," a wanted suspect. Now working as a narcotics officer, his estranged best friend Chen Yu becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind Wu's transformation.
