Welcome to the Occult Forest(2022)

Welcome to the Occult Forest is a Japanese horror series following washed-up director Kôji Kuroishi and his assistant Miho Ichikawa as they venture into a remote mountain house to shoot a film. There they encounter Maria Miyoshi, an unhinged woman claiming to be Kuroishi's devoted fan who insists she's lived through the supernatural events depicted in his movies. When inexplicable phenomena begin occurring around them, Kuroishi sees an opportunity to document the hauntings and revive his career. He teams up with Shôhei Uno, an eager volunteer, and Nanashi, a charismatic psychic medium, to capture evidence of the paranormal activity. As the crew digs deeper into the mystery, the line between genuine supernatural horror and staged performance blurs, trapping them in an increasingly nightmarish situation where reality itself becomes questionable.
